I understand that my consent to these provisions is given in consideration for being permitted to participate as a volunteer in this event. I am in adequate physical condition to participate as a volunteer. The race administrators may remove me from the event. I am aware of and voluntarily assume the risks of volunteering in this event. If I am injured, I agree that I will not sue, or otherwise hold responsible, Leigh & Lucy Steinberg, Blue Cross of California, the City of Newport Beach, PTA & PFO's of Lincoln, Harbor View, Andersen, Eastbluff and Newport Coast Elementary Schools, Edwards Cinema, Kathy Kinane, Kinane Events, and any affiliated individuals, or any race sponsor and their employees. I give my permission to the SPIRIT RUN to use any photographs, videotapes, or other recordings of me that are made during the course of this event. Job Descriptions

Saturday

Set-Up: Assist with loading the supplies onto trucks and setting up at Venue.

Sunday:

Set-Up: Assist with set up of the Expo and Start and Finish Lines.
Registration: Assist with registration process of participants. Duties include helping participants fill out computer cards, handing back assigned race bib numbers, etc.
Signs and Banners: Assist in setting up the signs and banners in the Expo and at the Start/Finish Lines.
Parking: Assist with the direction of cars into participant parking lots.
Expo: Help set up expo areas and greet expo vendors.
T-shirts: Assist with distributing t-shirts to participants
Refreshments: Setting up and refilling the fruit and water tables for the participants.
Course Monitors: Assist at certain spots along the course to monitor runners, spectators and cheer participants on!
Course Timers: Assist with timing at Mile Markers.
Announcer Spotters: Help spot participant numbers for the announcer.
Start Line Assistants: Assist with set up of the start line, and line up runners according to pace signs.
Water Stations: Set up and monitor water stations along the course. Groups are preferred!
Finish Line: Assist with finish line set up, timing, handing out medals, and sending finishers through the finish line chutes.
Clean-Up: Assist with Clean Up of the venue.
Breakdown: Assist with the Breakdown of the venue
