Kinane Events Fall/Winter Internship
Marketing/Public Relations

Intern will work directly with the CEO on a variety of Southern California's top community events.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a BA in sports marketing, event marketing, communications and public relations.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Strong organizational skill and attention to detail
• Professional phone manners
• Strong Macintosh skills and internet savvy
• Team Oriented with a positive attitude and sense of humor
• Committed to gaining experience in the marketing and pr field.
• Experience in Video Editing, constant contact material development and implementation, writing press releases, following up with the press and creating sponsor proposals.
• Experience with Apple Computers, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Responsibilities:

Part Time/Project Based. Flexible hours and telecommuting is an option.

Duties include:

• Marketing and Public Relations for Kinane Events, O'side Turkey Trot, Surf City USA Marathon, Derby Day 5K and Move Your Feet Before You Eat Foundation. Execution of the plan will include, print, tv, radio and social media.
• Video Editing on Mac and postings on to You tube and all other social sites.
• Maintenance and management of Kinane Events presence on all Social Network platforms, Twitter, Facebook, My SpaceBlog.

Ideal candidate should be intelligent, creative, highly motivated, exceptionally organized and great attention to detail. Ideal candidate would be passionate about running and community events/sports and have experience working with volunteers and community leaders. Public speaking experience would be a bonus.
